Shameful Saturday Eats

Let me just start by saying I am not proud of what I ate today! But, I thoroughly enjoyed everything I ate and I have been really happy with my progress so far so I guess I deserve a day of splurging with no guilt? Maybeee?

Ok let's start off with the healthy stuff...

Last week I was the winner of a Crofter's Organics giveaway so they sent me these four delicious superfruit spreads!

Of course I had to try them right away...
I tried Asia - raspberries and yumberries - and North America - blueberries and cranberries - on some Dr. Kracker's cherry semolina crackers. I liked North America but I LOVED Asia. I will definitely be having this again!

And then the splurge began....

BOAR'S HEAD ham sub!
Check out this monster of a sandwich! It's loaded with ham, provolone, lettuce, tomato, sweet peppers, onions, and oil and vinegar. I ate this for lunch and dinner.

In addition to my sub splurge I spent the rest of the day dipping pretzels and NOO alphabet grahams in honey roast peanut butter. I seriously dipped all day long.

I certainly ate way more than I planned but it's over and done with and tomorrow is a new day! I also really want to try out a new turbo workout tonight so I've cut myself off so I can digest :)

Question for you: Do you splurge on the weekend? If so, what do you splurge on?

  2. ummm i'm not seeing/hearing about anything to be un-proud of! it sounds like you were listening to your body and eating what it wanted, so i say good for you!! honey there is NOTHING to be ashamed of!

  3. I really think you're too hard on yourself. You barely eat during the week and your "splurge" day is like a typical day. Keep working out and keep your diet filled w/ fresh fruit and vegetables, lean meats, whole grains, and healthy fats.

    And no stressing out! :)

  4. I agree with Melissa. You really shouldn't be so hard on yourself. There is more to healthy eating than just calories, fat, etc...it's also healthy to eat what your body needs and what you enjoy, and to not be ashamed of yourself just because you ate something "unhealthy".
